Nominated for 2 Gémeaux Awards

Last night in Montréal, the 3D animated film, The Tradition of the Christmas Log by authors Roger Harvey and Louise Leblanc and director Nancy Savard of Productions 10th Ave inc, received a nomination for Best Animated Program or Series, and another for Best Writing in a Children’s or Youth Program or Series.

This pretty Christmas story, written by Roger Harvey and Louise Leblanc, calls upon the talents of illustrator Mathieu Lampron, Philippe Arseneau-Bussière on storyboard, animators from 6ixdegrés, and sound and musical designers from Studio Expression in Québec City. Producer/director, Nancy Savard, is proud of the recognition her team is receiving from the milieu. “This is the second year in a row that one of our animated films has been nominated for a prestigious Gémeaux award. We are very proud to have our talent recognized by our peers and members of the Québec and Canadian television industry. This film was broadcast by our faithful collaborator, Télé-Québec, for whom we are currently producing our 4th Christmas story. La Tradition de la bûche de Noël will be part of a special boxed set which will be available in 2008 for Québec City’s 400th anniversary.

The first animated film by Productions 10th AveThe Legend of the Christmas tree, was broadcast for the first time in 2002. It had very successful ratings in Japan and Denmark, and continues to tour the international market. Since then, the business has produced an animated 3D Christmas film every year, as well as documentaries of international interest.Productions 10th Ave is currently developing feature films and animated series addressed to youth and families.
