They’re finally in DVD: The Collection of Classic Christmas Tales

Thursday December 14 2006

Popularized by Télé-Québec in its Ciné Cadeau series, The Collection of Classic Christmas Tales is now available in stores, thanks to Imavision. These four 3D-animated Quebec Christmas films were created and produced entirely in Quebec, and feature Quebec actors Joe Bocan, Guy Nadon, Paul Buissonneau, Paul Doucet, Gabriel Gascon, Mario St-Amand, Nathalie Mallette and Stéphane Crête.

The two DVDs offer you four original holiday stories: The Legend of the Christmas Tree,The Christmas Stocking TaleThe tradition of the Christmas Log and The kiss under the Mistletoe. All four were directed and produced by Nancy Savard, a 3D animation artist from Quebec. They have been distributed the world over, in Japan, Denmark, the Ukraine, Spain and the United States.

The tales are bursting with warmth and humour. They resonate with music and with feeling. Kids will get a huge kick out of the characters, including Tamia, Lotor the racoon, Galley the seagull, Betty the mare, and three magnificent mice named Kit, Tuffy and Doctor Stock. They’ll love the thirteen songs included in this treasure chest. These are magical films where values like generosity, ingenuity and tolerance shine. The settings of Old Quebec, the Chateau Frontenac and the Little Champlain district are rendered in fairy-tale style.

Each DVD runs for approximately one hour. This includes two legends rendering the age-old traditions of Christmas in a brand new way. A Québécois Christmas gem you will treasure!
