The Magical Christmas Set

Wednesday December 12 2007

Broadcast in more than 15 countries, available at Archambault, Future Shop, Music World, and other outlets, and labelled Coup de Cœur this week at Renaud Bray, 10th Ave Productions’ La Collection de Contes classiques de Noël set, distributed by Imavision, takes a bold new step by offering, as a bonus, 9 multimedia games for children. In addition to La légende du sapin de Noël, L’histoire du Bas de Noël, La tradition de la bûche de Noël, and Le baiser sous le gui, four films the stories for which were written and take place in the enchanting locales of Quebec City, the set includes an edu-tainment CD-ROM. Children will be able to learn about using a computer, play, sing, make discoveries, and play games with the various characters. They can gather the harvest with Tamia and Lotor the raccoon, sing along with Mésange and her kids, fill their Christmas stockings with Kit and Tuff the mice, and concoct Dr. Stock’s potions.

In addition, on the eve of the launch of festivities celebrating Quebec City’s 400th anniversary, for the first time, the films will be projected on December 22 and 23 starting at 1:00 p.m. for the general public at the Musée de la Civilisation de Québec, free admission. There will be four screenings per day. Visit the museum’s Web site for more information: www.mcq.org/fr/mcq/programme-mcq.php

For those who won’t have an opportunity to travel to Quebec City, La Collection des contes classique de Noël will also be broadcast on Télé-Québec on the following schedule: La tradition de la bûche de Noël: Thursday, December 20, at 8:30 a.m.; La légende du sapin de Noël: Friday, December 21, at 8:30 a.m. and again on Wednesday, December 26, at 8:30 a.m.; L’histoire du bas de Noël: Saturday, December 22, at 8:30 a.m. and again on Thursday, December 27, at 8:30 a.m.; Le baiser sous le gui: Sunday, December 23, at 8:30 a.m. and again on Friday, December 28, at 8:30 a.m..
