Mission Kathmandu: The Adventures of Nelly & Simon wins the Golden Butterfly for Best Animated Feature in Iran
10th Ave Productions’ most recent animated feature (Mission Kathmandu: The Adventures of Nelly & Simon) directed by Pierre Greco and Nancy Florence Savard, produced by Nancy Florence Savard, has won the Golden Butterfly Award in the category of “Best Animated Feature” at the 31st edition of the International Film Festival For Children and Youth in Isfahan, Iran.

The award is the second for 10th Ave Productions. At this same festival in 2014, The Rooster of St-Victor, by writers Pierre Greco and Joanne Mercier, also took home an award. Mission Kathmandu: The Adventures of Nelly & Simon is currently playing in festivals and movie houses worldwide. The animated feature has been seen by 140 000 fans in Russia and the Ukraine.
“In a few days, it will make its debut in competition in Armenia” says producer, Savard.
Mission Kathmandu: The Adventures of Nelly & Simon has been selected for competition in more than 18 festivals and is well on its way. International sales representative, Edward Noeltner of Cinema Management Group, has racked up sales in over sixty countries. Within the next few months, the film will be hitting screens in France, China and Korea.
Synopsis
Quebec, 1956. The destinies of Nelly Maloye, a novice private eye, and Simon Picard, a research scientist at the local university, unexpectedly meet. Bankrolled by an ambitious client, the impulsive and headstrong Maloye joins the methodical and pragmatic Picard in a dubious quest to prove the existence of the elusive Yeti. For guidance, Simon carries with him an explorer’s journal that supposedly contains the location of the mythical creature’s den. Along with Tensing, their young Sherpa guide, and Jasmin, a chatty myna bird, the brave-hearted heroes come face-to-face with countless dangers during their trek through the heart of the Himalayas.
