Sales in 92 Countries and Territories for Lydia and the Mist Rider

Montreal, February 19, 2026: Following its presentation at the European Film Market EMF in Berlin, 10th Ave Studio and Attraction Distribution are proud to announce that rights to 10th Ave Productions’ 6th animated feature, Lydia and the Storm Rider, have been acquired by more than ninety-two (92) countries and territories on the international market.
“I’m very happy with what Xiaojuan Zhou of Attraction Distribution has accomplished with this film. This year’s market was crowded with major American animated feature projects. It takes great skill to sell intellectual property (IP) from independent studios,” notes 10th Ave producer Nancy Florence Savard. Several international distributors, loyal to 10th Ave and Attraction, showed boldness in acquiring the rights to this fantasy film written by Émilie Rosas and directed by a trio composed of producer Nancy Florence Savard, Émilie Rosas and Philippe Arseneau Bussières, who also served as art director.
In development since 2016, this ambitious animated feature required more than 28 months of hard work before the finished product was ready. It’s the most audacious project produced so far at the facilities of 10th Ave Animation, a boutique studio led by executive producer Jean-François Tremblay and animation director Yann Tremblay. “The studio is steadily gaining experience after producing three films in-house. The arrival of supervising colleagues like Rafaël Doray and Alexandre Melançon has consolidated the technical team, joining artists like Chantale Boudreau, our head of textures, and Charles Bernadet on rigging,” remarks Jean-François Tremblay.
The French-language version of the film, Lydia et le vaisseau des tempêtes, features the vocal talents of prominent Quebec performers like Sophie Nélisse (Lydia), Anthony Kavanagh (Chadio), Lyndz Dantiste (Lucas), Eveline Gélinas (Ambrosia), Dorothée Berryman (Granny Esther), Maxime Desjardins (Thaddeus), Guy Nadon (Kidjano), Alexandre Bacon (Maël the Spellbinder), Gildor Roy (Cheese Seller), Kevin Houle (Sailor, Astromancer), Philomène Bilodeau (Sailor, Astromancer), Louis-Philippe Berthiaume (Sailor, Astromancer) and Justine Bouchard (Sailor, Child).
10th Ave Productions’ sixth animated feature, Lydia and the Mist Rider, opens in more than fifty Quebec cinemas on February 20. Maison 4:3 is handling domestic distribution. The film will be released in other Canadian provinces over the next few weeks, coinciding with the dates of local spring breaks.
