Quebec City, November 29th<\/sup>, 2018 \u2013 Celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year, 10th\u00a0<\/sup>Ave Productions, headquartered in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec, has started work on its fourth animated feature film, Felix and the Treasure of Morg\u00e4a<\/a>.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

For the project, 10th\u00a0<\/sup>Ave\u00a0<\/a>has established a production unit on the Grande All\u00e9e in Quebec City. Over the next few years, the specialized 3d animation team will concentrate its efforts on this fantastic film, directed by Nicola Lemay (No Fish Where to Go<\/em><\/strong>; Private Eyes<\/em><\/strong>; Noel Noel<\/em><\/strong>)\u00a0<\/em>from a script by Marc Robitaille (No\u00e9mie: Le secret<\/em><\/strong>; Un \u00e9t\u00e9 sans point ni coup s\u00fbr<\/em><\/strong>; Un petit vent de panique; Winter Stories<\/em><\/strong>), with art direction by Philippe Arseneau Bussi\u00e8res (Racetime<\/em><\/strong>;Mission Kathmandu: The Adventures of Nelly and Simon<\/em><\/strong>; Snowtime!;<\/em><\/strong>The Legend of Sarila<\/em><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first wave of creators has already been on the job for a few days. These are the department heads who are working to create the film\u2019s characters. A second wave of hirings will take place after the holidays. We anticipate having a team of about fifteen people in the studio, dedicating themselves to the film. A search is underway to find several animators, a few modelers and some rigging artists. On the animation team, there are several long-time collaborators of 10th\u00a0<\/sup>Ave, along with some fresh faces. The department heads involved in producing Felix and the Treasure of Morg\u00e4a\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>have participated in numerous productions, including:<\/p>\n

Chris Lesage: lead rigging artist (<\/em><\/strong>Racetime<\/em><\/strong>; The Little Prince<\/em><\/strong>; The Rooster of St-Victor<\/em><\/strong>);<\/p>\n

Chantale Boudreau: lead texture artist (Mission Kathmandu: The Adventures of Nelly and Simon<\/em><\/strong>; Lego Bionicle: The Journey to One<\/em><\/strong>; The Rooster of S<\/em><\/strong>t-Victor<\/em><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

The animation unit is led by production manager Carolyn V\u00e9zina and by executive producer Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Tremblay. Felix and the Treasure of Morg\u00e4a\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is 10th\u00a0<\/sup>Ave\u2019s fourth animated feature, after Mission Kathmandu: The Adventures of Nelly and Simon<\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0The Rooster of St-Victor\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>and\u00a0The Legend of Sarila<\/em><\/strong>. The release date for this latest production is expected to be in late 2020 or early 2021.<\/p>\n
