Because we\u2019re dealing with a fantasy, animating a sailing ship that navigates on a sea of mist and characters who practise astromagic creates contexts that are sometimes complex. In short, we can say that Emilie Rosas\u2019 first feature-length animation screenplay was ambitious by Quebec standards. We had to be creative,\u201d the producer-director says with a smile. \u201cBut the story is so fascinating and so moving, we had to be daring!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10<sup>th<\/sup> Ave\u2019s sixth animated feature, <strong><em>Lydia and the <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Mist Rider<\/em><\/strong> will be presented by Xiaojuan Zhou of Attraction Distribution at the Riviera C10 stand, and by Nancy Florence Savard and Nadja Leblanc at the Quebec Creative Pavilion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The screenplay of <strong><em>Lydia and the <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Mist Rider<\/em><\/strong> is freely adapted from two novels by Yves Meynard: <em>Le Vaisseau des temp\u00eates (The Storm Vessel) <\/em>and <em>Le prince des Glaces (The Ice Prince)<\/em>, published by Les \u00c9ditions M\u00e9diapaul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Release is planned for the first quarter of 2026. The film was produced with financial support from&nbsp;La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de d\u00e9veloppement des entreprises culturelles (Sodec), Telefilm Canada, The Canada Media Fund, the City of Qu\u00e9bec, Shaw Rocket Fund, Harolds Greenberg fund, Quebec Investment, the Government of Canada, Crave, the Radio-Canada Corporation, Attraction Distribution, Maison 4&nbsp;:3, 10<sup>th<\/sup> Ave Studio and 10<sup>th<\/sup> Ave Productions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10<sup>th<\/sup> Ave Productions is a film, television and media content production company that creates captivating stories, loveable characters and unique worlds. To date, the company has produced five animated features: <strong><em>Katak the Brave Beluga<\/em><\/strong>; <strong><em>Felix and the Treasure of Morg\u00e4a<\/em><\/strong>; <strong><em>Mission Kathmandu: the Adventures of Nelly &amp; Simon<\/em><\/strong>; <strong><em>Rooster Doodle Doo<\/em><\/strong>; and <strong><em>The Legend of Sarila<\/em><\/strong>.
